With around $100 billion in assets under management, mutual fund and investment advisory firm Van Kampen Investments is a major player in the mutual fund market. A subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, the company offers investment advisory and administrative services.

Initial Concept and Solution:  In 1993, Van Kampen moved into their 9 story building in Oakbrook Terrace.  We were engaged early in the remodel to develop an art program that would open up the windowless corridors and conference rooms and create the experience of being outdoors.  Also, the 9 stories were so much alike, that the large images were needed in corridors to created a sense of place and help people find their way around.

We also created an annual employee photo contest.  The winning photographs were professionally printed and framed and hung in their large employee dining/meeting room.  At the end of the year, a new batch of winning photographs would be hung, and the ones from the previous year would be gifted to it’s photographer.
